Where in the UK are you?

Postby Dru » Sat Apr 13, 2013 11:17 am

After last night's conversation about where people are in the UK I thought it'd be interesting to get an overview of where people are. You do not have to specify city if it makes you uncomfortable. See the map below if you're confused about the areas I mean.
But if we do ever do a G3 Con I'll need to know where the most people are for where to base it.

Nah it doesn't; there is a rest of the world option. Unless you are talking about people who are not from earth?
100% true.

That's because it's for planning a uk meetup. There are so few of you outside the UK that it's not worth listing all the places the rest of you are, especially since, you you were going to come to a meetup I'd make sure it was close to a large airport anyway. So far it's looking like most of us are in the south, which means Southampton will be the nearest international airport, or the London ones will be easy to travel from by train.

I  mean, the UK is pretty small - no where is really more than like, 6 hours away from anywhere else.... so with that in mind - G3 Cardiff Con!!

Just saying; Cardiff has an international airport, and is only like 4 train stops away from me...

I think the consensus so far was to have it some place we know. People near cardiff: If you can find us a cheap hall with a kitchen that doesn't mind us being there on a sunday, and will let us sleep there over night then go for it.
